Valentine’s Day Sugar Cookie Bars

Hey Y’all! The “love day” is upon us and there’s no better way that I know to celebrate than by baking up something super sweet. I went back and forth on what exactly I wanted to do and the top ideas were some sort of cake or cookies. Well, I mixed both together for a fun little treat! My all time favorite cookie recipe is my cut out sugar cookies with royal icing but I wanted something just a bit more “ooey gooey” and super sweet. So I went exploring in the pantry and called up my grandmother and I learned a thing or two about how you can turn a cookie recipe into a cake.. cream or tartar mixed with baking soda. Who would have known? These were super easy to make and took about 30 minutes from start to finish! These would be a delicious treat to make for your kids Valentine’s Day party or to impress your family or coworkers! I even let my 4 year old help me from beginning to end and she had a blast, so I know y’all will to! Have fun!

Spring 2020 at Target

Target is out for blood with their spring 2020 trends! They are bringing in tiedye, neons, prints, tiered top/dresses and all the things! Another thing I noticed while shopping, most (if not almost all) items are now made in both regular AND plus sizes. Yes, the exact same style just in a more inclusive size range and I am here for it! I cannot stand when I share my favs and I feel like some are left out because of an awful size range so Target really stepped it up this year! Things I Never Want to Forget About My Kids

You know those moments your kid does something that either melts your heart or makes you belly laugh uncontrollably? Same, and I never want to forget them. I swore I would create a baby book for both of my kids and well, let’s just say that slipped to the bottom of my “To Do” list.  From the day I found out I was pregnant, everyone around me told me to cherish the moments because one day I would miss them. And most of the time I thought they were crazy. How could anyone miss morning sickness and sleep deprivation? But the truth is, you do. You forget all the bad parts but you do remember them, does that even make sense? It’s like someone took some imaginary tool and burned them into my brain and they will be there forever, but in a good way. So for the last few days, anytime I think back to a moment when my kids did something I never wanted to forget, i’ve been writing it here.
