Choosing a good skincare routine can be super challenging. It’s literally like finding a needle in a haystack until you find those perfect products. But sometimes the products you find can be extremely expensive and such a hit to purchase. Take Drunk Elephant for instance, they are my all time favorite skincare brand hands down. But buying a $98 serum every 6 months is a lot harder than a $8 serum from The Ordinary. So when I finally dug in and did some research on the brand and realized that the ingredients they use are pure and very clearly labeled, I decided to adventure in. And let me tell you it was scary. My skin hated me some days and loved me others. But I think I have finally found what I like to think are the best of the best from what The Ordinary by DECIM has to offer!
My November Favs!
I absolutely love to share all my favorite things with all of my favorite people, so what better way to do so than to start a {MyFavorites} monthly blog! I’ll share all my everyday favorite items from beauty, fashion, lifestyle and more! Maybe some fun things i’ve been doing with my kids, or recipes we’ve been using in our house! I’m always sharing on instagram stories but I feel like sometimes I leave things out from my blog family that should definitely be shared! So we’re kicking it off with my November Favorites! Some products will be linked via affiliate links and some will not. Affiliate links do earn me a small commission of each purchase at no cost to you guys! Thank you all for your continued support for me and my endeavors! I couldn’t do it without you all!
Every Plate- So Sean and I have a bad habit of being super lazy and ordering to go food or just eating random stuff for dinner about once a week. We started ordering from Every Plate after I did some research on weekly food deliveries and realized that some were just WAY over priced. Every Plate breaks your price down by meal to $4.99 per person per meal and 3 meals a week! For Sean and I, we did the 2 person plan and it was enough for us both and our kids to eat some as well. Neither of them eat a ton so we each just took a small bit from our portions and shared, plenty left. We have LOVED it! All the ingredients have come to us very fresh, meats have all been well frozen and have had zero issues with any produce being old or anything! Totally give it a 10/10! If you guys are interested in signing up, use the code JORDANGRE and your first week is only $18 (Usually $38 shipped for the 2 person plan per week)
My Victoria Secret Pajama set– This PJ set has been with me for going on 2 years now and it’s still my fav. Why am I including it for the month of November? Because we moved in September and still slowly been unpacking out life and I randomly found them again a few weeks ago. Super soft, comes in long and short versions and a few different colors (including leopard) and for under $50 for the set. Literally the most amazing PJs ever!
My Black Starbucks Tumbler- Okay yes I am one of those crazy people who attack starbucks the day their holiday cups come out but I just can’t help it. So when they did a studded black tumbler in October for Halloween, I fan girl’d hard over some basic starbucks cups! I take this thing with me everywhere! I struggle staying caught up on my water intake so having a water cup with me everywhere I go is a must have! I think you can only find them on ebay or mercari right now but if you love the color black (Hello, who doesn’t) then it’s totally splurge worthy!
My T3 Curling Iron– I think I got this back in May for mothers day but I didn’t really learn how to use it for beach waves until late summer. And this month I have used it pretty much every week. Why only once a week? Because this thing holds some dang curls you guys! Like I can do my beach waves with this and my hair is curled until the next time I shampoo and I only do that once a week! It’s seriously the best investment i’ve ever made! I’ll link it here from sephora but I advise you to order from the T3 website here and sign up with email to get 15% off your order 🙂 Mine is the 1 inch barrel and it perfect for beach waves!
My Leopard print phone case– This little case from Casely has become one of my favorite tech products ever! It charges my phone fully once a day when my phone starts dying and keeps me from having to sit next to a wall to let my phone charge. As bad as that sounds, 100% of my blog related work is through my phone. Which means it dies a lot. So having this case is super convenient! I simply keep my phone in the case at night when I go to bed and when I plug my phone in to charge, it charges my case at the same time! How dang cool?? They also gave me a discount code to share with you guys! Its JORDANLEE and it saves you 30% off any order 🙂
Fenty Gloss Bomb– you guys, I never ever thought I could fall in love with a lipgloss formula as much as I have fallen in love with this one. It is so juicy and taste like the sweetest candy and is perfection. It comes in a few different shades but the shade I use and love is FUSSY. It’s $18 at Sephora and worth every gosh darn penny! Right now they have a fun holiday kit with 5 shades for $42 so if you’re feeling froggy, grab that one!
My Favorite playlist on Spotify!– Each month my choice in music changes so much. I’m constantly finding new songs to listen to and loving and over playing tons of music! But I have been jamming out to this playlist all month on repeat! Absolutely love it!
My casual booties– I had been on the hunt for some affordable and comfortable casual booties for a while. I stumbled across these and thought I would give them a try and boy am I glad I did. The first time I wore them they were slightly stiff but the second time I wore them all day from about 8 in the morning until about 6 that night and my feet did not hurt one bit. So dang comfortable and for under $70, you literally cannot ask for more! They come in the beige color that I have and also black and burgandy. The black ones are on my wish list right now and you can bet if they go on sale, ya girl is snagging them up! **20% off with code SUPERCUTE**
My favorite high waist denim- You guys caught me wearing these in a instagram try on and blew my DM’s up! These jeans from LOFT are literally the dang best. Perfect high waist hit for mommies that want to hide their mom bods (Hey, if you got it flaunt it girl, NO SHAME HERE) but also be super cute and fashionable! They run very true to size and are almost always 40% off! **40% off and free shipping with code GIFTS makes them less than $50**
My Olaplex No.3 PreTreatment– You guys, this stuff is sent straight from the gods. If you struggle with dry, damaged hair that needs strengthening, this $28 jar of holy grail will change your life. When the weather starts getting colder, my hair can sometimes need an extra boost of moisture. This locks in all the moisture and keeps my hair super shiny, soft and super strong. How I use it; I jump in the shower and rinse my hair with cold water, wash my body and any extra steps and then I get out and towel dry my hair (I did NOT shampoo, just cold water rinse) and then I take the Olaplex and soak my hair in it and massage it in very well. I wrap my hair up in silk hair bow and let it soak in my hair for about 30 minutes. Go take a bubble bath or just relax. Then simply get back in the shower, rinse and then shampoo/condition as normal. When I get out. I spray a detangler, a heat protectant spray and then use my Revlon one styler to dry my hair. DIY blowout at home. You’re welcome ladies!
My SPANX Faux Leather leggings- Okay so these are NOT new, but they have become a favorite this month because when cooler weather hits, so do these leggings. Pricy and definitely an investment (in my opinion) but oh so worth it. I’ve had the same pair for going on 4 years and they still fit like the day I bought them. They do run small so size up if you’re unsure! Be sure to sign up for the referral program and whenever you refer a friend, they get 15% off and you get $20 off your next purchase! Use my link HERE- to get 15% off your first pair so you can save and start referring!
Hope you guys love these as much as I do!

Ways to Give Back this Holiday Season!
There is just something about the holiday season that always tugs on my heartstrings and makes me want to do everything I can to give back to those less fortunate. This could be something small, free and easy to do just to make someone’s day!
I reached out to a few of my fellow blogger babes to get all the ways they choose to give back during the holiday season and these are what we rounded up!
Idea from Myself– I am subscribed to tons of beauty subs so each month I get little makeup bags! I take them and fill them with things like travel size toothpaste, shampoo, condition, cleansing wipes, perfume, non perishable snacks, gum and more and keep them in my car. If I happen to pass by a homeless woman, I will roll down my window and hand her a little kit! Just that little gesture of kindness can make someones day!
Idea from @Kate.symonsayssmile– “I’ve been working with the Homeless Period Project to bring feminine supplies to blessing boxes and schools. I try to pick up extra packs of panty liners anytime I go shopping for our family. Just a single pack can contribute to multiple blessing packs.”
Idea from @Lauryncakes-“Going through your closet and donating gently used items to a local homeless shelter is a great way to warm someone else this winer. The shelters will hand out clothing to those in need, rather than sell the items like other donation business may do.” Use this link to locate homeless shelters near you!
Idea from @Allieann_ – “I live in WV and I helped organize our annual Winter Weather Posse which is where we get student and adult volunteers to help prepare homes for the elderly for the winter. We rake leave, insulate windows, switch batteries in smoke detectors and more. We had 400 volunteers this year.”
Idea from @CBStyled– “At the grocery store, I add a little gift card, like a $10 Starbucks, and after the cashier rings it in, I give it to her.” **This one is GENIUS and I love it**
Idea from @Heyitsnatalie– “I’ve been working with a local children’s hospital. You can purchase things like therapy pet visits, crafts, etc for the children in the hospital.”
Idea from @TheBelovedBride– “Each year, we do the “white envelope” idea where there is a single white envelope placed in our tree and on Christmas morning my husband opens it. I usually do Sponsor a Child in his name, donation to a different charity in his name each year, etc.”
Idea from @fitmommy_inheels– “We try to do something different every year. Last year we made a stocking and sent it to a child in another state. This year i’m donating via the amazon smile program and i’ve worked with them to help promote the program!”
Idea from @justbrandi_– “I do a segment called Pay it Forward. I have my followers write in and nominate a family in need. I then choose a certain amount of stories (Last year it was 25) and feature them with their stories and my followers donate to whatever the family needs. We have had people buy entire Christmases for families, provide funds or necessities for people who lost homes in floods or fires, people have provided meals, blankets, clothes, toys, fulfill whole amazon wish lists in a matter of minutes and so much more. It’s amazing to see how the community pulls together.”
Idea from @alison_grooms– “Being generous at Jules & James has mostly meant that we have had the honor to write checks to support organizations, globally and locally. The Generosity Project was so special because it involved our entire staff and so many of our friends and customers. We set aside a few hours and got to be generous with our time. Generosity doesn’t just have to mean that you give your money, time is one of the most valuable things you can give.”
Idea from @shinnersss- “My grandma is part of an organization NA’AMAT USA and i’ve been volunteering to do gift wrapping with her since I was little. We’re jewish and the organization is to benefit women in Israel so we’re able to volunteer on busy days like Christmas eve to help people shopping last minute.”
From @The.Modernmama– “Throughout the Holiday season it’s so important to remember to give back to those that need it most. Things as big as compiling donation boxes for your local churches & organizations, or paying for the person behind you at the grocery store. Another family favorite for us is making cookies for our entire neighborhood. Tis the Season to spread joy!”
Idea from @Dashofprettyblog– “I try to give back by purchasing from brands that contribute to charitable causes with every purchase.”
Idea from @_Megortiz– “Over the years i’ve done different things during the holidays to give back to my community and those less fortunate. Some have been small deeds like buying someone’s breakfast or coffee behind me in the drive-thur line, keeping snack items in the car to easily be able to give to someone in need on the side of the road, or buying an item off the “Giving Tree” at church. Last year, I had the chance to spend the day volunteering at a local food pantry. We spent the day organizing, packing and delivering food and meals to those in our community in need of a little extra support in the holiday season. It was such a special day because it was so amazing to see so many people in my community come together to help those who needed it. It was also very eye opening to see just how many people in my area are in need of extra help. It is such a great opportunity to get involved and something I hope to continue to do for years to come.”
Idea from @EmilylGrimaldi- “Random Acts of Kindness are my favorite way to give back. Whether it’s someone who just looks like they could use a helping hand, or sending a small gift to someone I haven’t seen in a while to let them know they are loved. You never know how things like that can impact people, and it usually causes a ripple effect, which is the best part.”
Idea from @TheBarnOfBlooms– “When I think of the holiday season I think about what I have and not what I wish for. Health and Family, that’s everything to me. I was raised to jump in where needed from a young age so that’s what i’ll do and i’ll raise my children to do the same. The elderly will always have a near & dear place in my heart. They just want to tell us stories of the past and in return we can learn so much. Our first stop on Halloween & Veterans day will always be the local nursing home. We also kick off the holiday season there with Christmas cards, gift bags & treats. It is truly a blessing. I challenge you to do the same. The Joy you get out of this, money cannot buy.”
Idea from @AlyssaCDavis– “For anyone who does a makeup sub like ipsy, I use those cute bags to fill with menstrual products and donate them to the local women’s shelter.”
Idea from @Lizparrish8- “Not every child will receive a gift for Christmas, which is heartbreaking. At my local Starbucks they have wishlists from local foster youth children programs. I have my kids pick tags, we go shopping, and drop the gifts off.”
Idea from @The.chaotic.mommy– “Every year I take my kids to draw a name off the salvation army tree and we go shopping for the particular child that we choose. We throw in some extra toys as well. Another way we love giving back is donating bath and body products to our local women’s shelter as well as diapers and wipes.”
I hope that in reading all these wonderful ideas on how myself and my girl gang give back, that It motivates you to get out and serve your community this holiday season!
Cheers

Blueberry Strudel Frenchtoast
My all time favorite breakfast dish in the entire world has quickly become a thanksgiving day tradition for our family! For the last 3 years, it’s been the breakfast dish of choice and i’m so excited to share the recipe with you all! Super easy, no overnight prep necessary and is done in an hour!
The Perfect Christmas Cookies!
With the holidays slowly creeping up, getting those Christmas cookie recipes perfected can be pretty pressuring. I mean, doesn’t everyone stress over impressing people with their baking skills? Just me?
Something i’ll never claim to be is a good cook. But I can sure as heck bake. And digging around for the perfect recipes can be time consuming and stressful. After combining quite a few i’ve found on the internet, i’ve finally perfect my Christmas sugar cutout cookies with Royal icing! And don’t worry, this doesn’t require a pro or any overnight dough chilling. Just a quick 15 minute prep and you’re on your way to awesome cookies!
