Holiday Family PJ’s

Christmas is literally 70 days away. Which sounds like forever but guys, that’s like 2 months! WHAT!!! So if you are planning to get your kiddos and yourself matching PJ’s you better quit sleeping on the idea and act now. Waiting until December to hunt Christmas PJs down is setting yourself up for failure. Stock runs low, runs out and getting a matching set for all family members can be impossible. No fear, I’m hooking you guys up with some AWESOME places to get the family PJ’s for that perfectly curated photo (oh come on, you KNOW you’ll be taking pictures)

I’ll be Dropping links to websites below for places that carry Christmas PJs for the whole family! Happy Shopping!

1-Burt’s Bees – First of all, I LOVE how they organize their websites. They categorize each print making it easy to see everything and pick exactly what you want. And get this, they even off matching Dog Bandanas! We used Burts Bees for our family jammies last year and we loved! PS-Search for discount codes before checking out. WELCOMEBABY almost always gives you 10%-15% off!

2- Khol’s– Khols offers TONS of Christmas PJ’s for the entire family. Multiple different prints, all sizes and super affordable! It’s a no brainer on this one! Shopping online is definitely your best bet with Khols because in store inventory can be super spotty! Also almost always a discount coupon code for Khols as well, so shop and save some coin!

3- Hanna Anderson– Gosh, this brand always has the CUTEST and best quality clothing items even outside of their PJs. Tons of prints, price is a little higher than some other brands but new subscribers get 20% off coupon codes! So that’s a total win!

4- Macy’s– Macy’s definitely stepped it up this year with options for the whole fam! Prices start at like $9.99 for babies but peep the discount code at the top of the browser that almost always applies to your entire purchase!

5- Pat Pat– This one is a new one for me. I came across this brand months ago when searching for carter some long slender Pj’s and absolutely love all they offer! Prints are limited but what they do have is cute and definitely fun for family Pjs!

6- Amazon– Right? Okay I said it. Amazon nails it with their family pjs and Christmas is no exception. Digging can be harsh but i’ve linked some really cute options right below!

7- Target- This one seems obvious but some people forget how amazing target is with their coordinating family outfits! So many options and all sizes!

What I Pack In My Carry On!

Packing for vacation can be stressful, but toss in a 13 hour flight and it becomes a headache! When we booked our trip to Hawaii, I had NO idea how long the flights would be from where we live! So naturally I started thinking about what the heck I would have on the plane with me to have access to. What does one need to spend an entire day traveling on a plane? Well, I have no earthly idea but i’m here to share with you what i’m packing based off what I think we need!

My rule of thumb for any plane travel is to pack only carry on luggage. This is cheaper, easier and less stress of having things get lost. But when you are traveling for 7+ days, that’s almost impossible. So then my next rule of thumb goes into play, pack what I will need for at least 2-3 days in a carry on and all cosmetics and such. Reason being is that if your luggage is misplaced on flights, it usually takes between 2-3 days for your bags to be found and re routed back to you. So having enough clothes to last you a few days IF your luggage did get lost is clutch!

That much is pretty obvious in terms of what you should pack, but what do you need on the actual flight? I mean that’s an entire day on a plane! So when it came time for me to pack what I will have in my purse for the flight, I stated trying to narrow down what is absolutely necessary!

Planes suck the life out of your skin. Something about the air circulation and the stiffness in the air is just terrible for your skin. I almost never wear makeup on a flight, especially a 12 hour flight, so skincare is a must! Having your must have skincare items handy is going to be a huge help in saving your skin from a potential break out from the harsh environment on a plane! Things I threw in my travel bag will be listed below with reasons why!

  • Clear cosmetics bag- This is a must! Traveling through an airport with security checks, you’re bound to have some TSA agent give you a death stare if you pull out your cosmetics and start digging to pull out certain liquids and such. But with the TSA approved clear cosmetic bags you won’t speed time digging!
  • Travel size cleanser & moisturizer- I know you probably think that sounds crazy, but think of all the terrible and disgusting things you touch in an airport only to then transfer those germs to your face. And to have them sit for 12 hours? YUCK! So cleansing your skin with a simple cleansing wipe like the travel friendly ones from sephora is key! Following up with a good moisturizer will lock in moisture to keep your skin from drying out.
  • Under Eye masks- You think i’m crazy, but who actually gets good sleep on a plane? If you, then you’re a psycho! So having a good de-puffing eye mask is definitely something good to have handy. The Baggage claim (LOL at the name) under eye masks from Wander beauty are my all time favorite for de-puffing and giving life back to that soft area under my eyes! And these are not messy at all, so your elbow neighbor won’t be giving you dirty looks!
  • Light makeup- I know I said I never wear makeup on a flight, but I always try to throw on a little bit right when we start to land because, hello photos? I usually do some sort of tinted moisturizer, powder, blush and mascara. Nothing crazy but just enough to give your face a little glow.
  • Noise canceling headphones- This is a no brainer. You don’t want to get caught listening to the guy next to you snoring the entire flight do you? NOPE! I love the Bose frees sport ear buds. Tiny yet powerful.
  • A good black out eye mask- When you do want to sleep, but your neighbor wants to count clouds (what a freaking weirdo) toss on that black out mask and leannnnn back! Mine from free people is perfect. Comfy and totally blocks out all light!
  • Travel pillow/blanket- Having a travel pillow is an absolute MUST on extended flights. Throw it around your neck and cover up and try to catch some Zzzssss.
  • A good book or Ipad- I mean who doesn’t need entertainment on a 12 hour flight? Airports are stocked with good book stores, magazines and more but if you prefer your ipad then sis better bring it!
  • A portable charger- For you know, when the phone you’ve stared at for 8 hours goes dead. Yeah, thank me later!
  • Credit Cards handy- Hello- those mile high club drinks don’t pay for themselves and unfortunately Delta doesn’t take cash sweetie!
  • Sunglasses- Maybe you aren’t totally snoozing, but you also want to eye creep on the weirdos around you without having people wonder why you’re staring at them. Throw on some big oversized shades and creep away!

Sephora Summer Bonus Sale Recommendations!

Hi Friends! Jumping on to share a super last minute Sephora recommendations list since the Summer Bonus sale is among us! If you’re unfamiliar, the Summer Bonus sale is going on now until August 27th. The discount includes a 20% discount for Rouge and 15% discount for VIB. If this is not your tier, don’t fret, your time is coming in November with an amazing 10% off deal. But if you feel singled out, load up that cart and hit $350 minimum and instantly move up to VIB status! Regardless, my recommendations are for everyone! Shop everything instantly below with links from my Like To Know it Page!

I won’t be sharing ALL of my favorite products, just some that I think are 100% worth the discounted price!

  • Charlotte Tilbury setting powder- I’ll be honest, I have not personally tried this one just yet, but the reviews are INSANE! The price is super high, but with the discounted price it’s worth the splurge!
  • Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi- I LOVE to mix this into my daily moisturizer on days when I am not wearing makeup for a beautiful glow. Gives your skin a nice tint of color without feeling sticky or too makeup-ish!
  • Peace Out Acne Dots- LIFE CHANGING! These have helped my hormonal breakout spots so so much! The flesh tone patch goes straight onto the bump, keep it on for 6-8 hours or overnight and your breakout is no more! AMAZING for those days when you have a bad breakout and need some instant relief!
  • Isle Of Paradise Self Tanning Drops- these are so so so good! Mix 3-6 drops in with your nighttime moisturizer and wake up the next morning with a gorgeous glow! Can be combined with lotion for the entire body as well! I personally prefer the dark ones, but if you are a very fair complexion the medium would be great!
  • Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist- my HOLY GRAIL skin mist. This gives your face that gorgeous glow that makes you look and feel like you just stepped off the runway. I cannot fathom the price of $48 but at the discounted price, totally worthy!
  • Hourglass Ambient lighting powder in Dim Light- this is what dreams are made of (Cue Lizze McGuire in the middle of Rome vibes) and you NEED it. Gives your skin a gorgeous glow and flawless skin look. If you are a super oily girl, this one might not be your BFF.
  • OleHenriksen Banana Bright Eye cream- another winner. This is the BEST under eye cream. Pumped with vitamin C to brighten, your under eyes will thank you. And you’ll notice you don’t have to put on concealer anymore!
  • Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet Skin blurring powder- YES YES YESSSSS. This is my everyday makeup you guys! It says matte, but those with dry skin don’t freak out. I am SUPER dry and this still works for me. Melts into the skin and looks flawless!
  • Go To Face Hero Oil- MY GIRLLLL. This changed my skin. I apply this everynight as my last step in my skincare and I wake up GLOWING! It has also helped improve some of my unevenness from sun exposure! Great for all skin types!
  • Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer- I have not tried this one yet, but it’s been on my list for a while so I’m diving in! Contains SPF 30 and comes in numerous shades and undertones! If the $47 price point scares you, get the smaller size for like $20ish!
